Connect Your DSL modem

Refer to your modem user guide or follow the below steps:
  1. Install DSL filters on all telephone devices in your home. (This includes phones, fax machines, satellite receivers and security systems.)
  2. Connect the power supply to the DSL modem and plug it in.
  3. Connect the phone cord to the DSL modem and plug the other side into the phone jack. (There should be no surge suppressors or DSL filters on this line.)
  4. Connect the network cable to the DSL modem and then into the Ethernet port on your computer.
  5. Turn the power on and wait for approximately one minute.
  6. The DSL/ADSL/SYNC light should now be on and solid.

Setup Your Internet Connection

Before setting up your Internet Connection, it is recommended you have the modem user guide on hand and know your modem’s settings page well. (see here as an example)
  1. Refer to the modem’s user guide, open a Web browser and enter the modem’s IP address in the address bar. Go into the modem setup page.
  2. Find and change the following parameters:
    • VPI: 0
    • VCI: 35
    • MTU: 1442
    • Internet Login: User ID and Password provided by World-Link.
  3. Re-boot your modem and computer, wait until the internet light on, then go surf.
